This year donated monies will be used to fund the improved Children's Festival and to assist local charitable organisations to display their facilities in a special new stage and dancing area on the the Monkton Park side of the River Avon footbridge.
Our principle financial sponsor and the donor of our camp site venue at Westmead. Chippenham Borough Lands Charity (CBLC), an enlightened and active supporter of the Arts in Chippenham have once again confirmed their long standing commitment to, and ongoing financial support for the Folk Festival
North Wiltshire District Council gives support to the Festival in a number of ways including assistance licensing and Health & Safety issues. The Monkton & River Island Parks are also generously donated for the Festival’s use.
Chippenham Town Council has supported the Festival with a grant towards the cost of the Neeld & Town Hall Facilities.
Over 10 years ago the Festival handed over the organisation of the Annual Street Fair, held on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday, to The Chippenham Rotary. They have taken this job on with a will and now it’s one of the most popular days out in Chippenham. The rotary splits up the profits from the which is then divided between many local charities.
Is the regional Folk Arts development agency for the south West. They support and advise all manner of folk arts organisations throughout the region.
The festival has been a member of this organisation which supports folk music and arts activities throughout the country and beyond. It is one of the leading folk arts organisation in the UK.
