Busk England - An ongoing project to discover our own country.
Leading traditional fiddle player, Tom Kitching, will be performing a very personal concert of music and spoken word charting his so far 18 month busking trip around England.
From Berwick to Deal, Penzance to Carlisle, Tom has been performing on the streets of England, getting to know his own country better through its own music.
Finding streets full of character and characters, good humour, sadness, and the unmistakeable quirkyness of the English, this is a project that has captured the imagination of a wide range of audiences, even featuring in the Horoscope section of the Daily Mail!
This has now led to a book deal and a new album, documenting this extraordianry journey across our varied nation.
Tom will be joined by Norwegian Mandola player Marit Fält for this show.

“Tom Kitching is one of the best English fiddlers ever – he plays with fire and gusto, energy, intelligence and feel – takes English folk music by the scruff of the neck and sends it off laughing and dancing and having a good time." - Mike Harding
