England's Glory Ladies' Morris
England’s Glory Ladies Morris, based in Cheltenham, have been dancing since 1973 and were
one of the three original ladies morris sides. Our name comes from the famous brand of
matches formerly manufactured in Gloucester. Our main dances come from the village of Ilmington, near Stratford-upon- Avon, and were taught by Sam Bennett to the women and children of the village at the beginning of the last century. Our repertoire also includes garland dances, one or two border dances, and dances written by members of the side.
