Welcome to the Chippenham Folk Festival web site.
The festival is run by a group of volunteers to produce one of the most exciting and diverse festivals you could want,. You will be spoilt for choice as the programme boasts of over 200 individual events. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a novice at the Ceilidh, a singer or just a listener, an expert or just beginner we will have something for you. When it started out way back in 1970, the festivals aims stated that it would be primarily a participation festival promoting mainly English traditional music, song and dance. We are happy to say that after 41 years this is still our core objective. Check out some of the buttons on the left hand side of this page and see what we mean.
