John Cooper Wilde is a young but experienced performer of high-quality folk music. From his childhood falling asleep backstage at his parents’ ceilidhs, to his years in ‘NYFTE’ (the National Youth Folk Troupe of England), guesting with ceilidh band ‘Out of Hand,’ and now his ventures as a solo musician, folk music has long been a part John’s life, making his confident and intimate performances transportive and engaging. His influences are wide-reaching and constantly changing, but his combination of traditional songs and self-composed works demonstrate how he puts all his influences together to create a singular, poetic, and tasteful approach to music.
