Ben Matthews

Ben Matthews studied Classical and Traditional Cello performance at Leeds Conservatoire, he works as a performer and educator. Ben is passionate about bowed strings, particularly the 'cello. He loves to scroll-sing, a term coined by researching singers who accompany themselves with bowed stringed instruments. Ben is a trainee music therapist and works in community music, special educational needs and instrument tuition, enjoying work in various settings nationally. Ben enjoys music of all sorts, with a preference to Traditional and Classical music, his practice blends the techniques, approaches and nuances of many genres to create a unique sound world.
