Ramshackle Orchestra

The Ramshackle Orchestra is a multi-generational 20+ piece Bath-based community string orchestra, featuring violins, violas, cellos, double bass, and the occasional penny whistle! We play an eclectic and atmospheric repertoire including passionate Klezmer, gypsy and traditional French tunes, lilting Celtic folk, and mysterious airs from the wilder reaches of Hungary and Transylvania. Since 2013 the orchestra has performed at Bath Festival's Party in the City and at various other events and venues every year, attracting large audiences and enthusiastic acclaim. With exciting and innovative arrangements, Ramshackle provides a platform for players to explore the indigenous music of a wide range of cultures, as well as raising money for a variety of community causes.
